This year, Coastal Physiotherapy has partnered with local organisation, Life Care, for our Christmas Appeal. Life Care is based right here in Maroochydore and is a community Church organisation devoted to helping the under-privileged. Their vision is to relieve the effects of homelessness, poverty and isolation across the Sunshine Coast. Life Care run an Op-Shop to raise funds for disadvantaged people, but they are much more than this. They have established a safe place for our local homeless people to have a moment of relief; there is a free tea-house (coffee/tea/muffins) for nutrition, a safe place to catch up on some sleep with some loungers in their back patio area and a gold coin donation for food and toiletries from their community food pantry. If people cannot afford an outfit for a job interview, Life Care will provide one free of charge.
If you can help, we would like to offer donations to them to help over the Christmas period. They are specifically looking for the following items for their Xmas hampers:
- Tinned ham, salmon, beetroot and corn
- Christmas cake/pudding
- Biscuits and mince pies
- Long life custard or cream
- Savoury snacks
- Juice/cordial
- Jar of cocktail onions/gherkins
- Apple or cranberry sauce
We would also love to provide their families and customers with any of the following:
- New kids toys
- New clothing
- Good quality/clean clothing for their op shop
- Other non-perishable food items for their food pantry
- Toiletries – soap, deodorant, toothpaste
If you can help, please bring your donations in to Coastal Physiotherapy at 5/31-33 Plaza Parade, Maroochydore by the 4th December. Lets finish 2020 off with kindness and compassion for those who are down on their luck and less fortunate than we are. Every little bit helps!!!
